Recently, I had the pleasure of meeting the expert cake maker Lucy from Stable Cottage Cakes in Surrey. I asked her all about cake making and advice for brides and grooms to-be as part of my new "Ask the Expert" blog series...
More and more people are having a scented wedding. I love that brides and grooms are tying to integrate fragrances into their wedding day; as scent is closely linked with our memories.None of the other human senses are as entwined with memories, especially those of emotions and feelings. So why not incorporate fragrances into your day to make it truly unforgettable for everyone!
When Matt and Sophie asked me to help them plan their 1930/40’s style wedding; in the breathtaking Burgh Island Hotel, Devon, I was thrilled! I love something a little unconventional. Entering the exclusive hotel, which is on a tidal island, you feel like a time machine has taken you back to the 30’s. Everything is elegantly designed in Art Deco glamour with lots of original pieces from the jazz era. Agatha Christie used to call the island her second home.
